About Tuxedo Ball

Founded more than twenty years ago, the Tuxedo Ball brings together families and friends during the holiday season for a unique celebration of excellence and elegance. The goal was then, and is now, to bring together friends from all over the country and their young adult children to form a circle of love, connection and support that will enhance the children's lives and prepare them for leadership roles in the future.

The event has played significant roles in the lives of those who have participated. It has provided a unique opportunity to celebrate the many rich and diverse contributions that African American have made to our nation and to the world. Lifelong friendship across the country have begun at the Tuxedo Ball. Careers have advanced at the Tuxedo Ball. And marriages have been made at the Tuxedo Ball. It has created a lasting community and camaraderie unlike any other.

The Tuxedo Ball reminds us what is possible and how, encourages us, envelopes us with love and support, reminds us what is important in life, and promises an elegant and unforgettable holiday celebration.
